DAD’S INTERVIEW: RAKUL PREET SINGH RECALLS FUNNY FIRST MEETING BETWEEN DAD AND JACKKY BHAGNANI

He is not army.’” However, fathers being fathers, her dad had other plans. During a lunch in Delhi for her mom’s birthday back in 2021, her father, in his straightforward military fashion, threw Jackky a curveball. Asking about his plans, Rakul’s father put Jackky on the spot with the tough question: “What is your plan with my daughter?”

As Rakul’s food seemingly got stuck in her throat, Jackky smoothly handled the unexpected inquiry. He began with discussing his upcoming release, “Mission Raniganj,” but her father wanted more. “Work and all is good,” he said, “but what is your plan with my daughter?” In a moment that endeared him to her father forever, Jackky replied with sincerity, “Whenever she is ready, I will be ready.” This response not only won over Rakul’s father but also melted her heart.

Fast forward to February, Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani exchanged vows in two stunning ceremonies in the serene beaches of Goa. They embraced the traditions of both an Anand Karaj and a beautiful Sindhi-style wedding. Decked in resplendent Tarun Tahiliani outfits, the couple radiated joy and love as they embarked on this new chapter of their lives.

Their wedding was a star-studded affair with the likes of Shahid Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Ananya Pandey, Aditya Roy Kapur, Bhumi Pednekar, Varun Dhawan, and many more gracing the occasion. The performing artist wore a 30 kg ghagra in Goliyon ki Raasleela: Slam Leela. Her equip was outlined by Anju Modi and was 50 meters long. Too, the one ensemble that gathered the foremost consideration was the one she worn within the Ghoomar tune from the film Padmaavat.

According to reports, the equip weighed around 30kgs and the adornments for the tune was lovely. It had taken over 200 craftsmen, 600 days and 400 kg of gold to induce the pieces right for the tune.

Ever the quick-witted hero, Aamir tried to reason that the car wasn’t actually his. But, alas, destiny had other plans, and Aamir missed out on being the assistant director of Mr India.
